This Guy Wrote Himself the Most Badass Obituary Ever

All of us would like to shape the way we are remembered by those who outlive us. We want others to think well of us after we are gone, or at least look up to our achievements. But what if you could help shape that lasting impression? Not prepared to let anyone else summarize the ups and downs of his life, this guy did just that.

Yesterday, Redditor xxsamb10xx shared the light-hearted obituary his grandfather wrote for himself. If it’s any indication, Walter George Bruhl, Jr. of Delaware was a pretty exciting guy before his passing on March 9, and he continues to share his humor posthumously.

Packed with shoutouts to his former bodily organs, Monty Python references, and a request to be standing in the corner of the funeral home “with a glass of Jack Daniels in his hand so that he would appear natural to visitors,” the obituary is at the same time hilarious and a fond way for his relatives to remember his sense of humor.
